Located right on the shore of East Lake Okoboji, our beautiful resort with outdoor pools, amazing facilities, and Indoor Waterpark make Bridges Bay the most complete resort destination at Iowa's Great Lakes! We are seeking the right individual(s) who are interested working with existing staff to ensure maintenance tasks related to the Waterpark and adjoining Outdoor Resort Pool are kept in check.
This is a beautiful facility in an ideal location, and the right individual(s) with WINNING, TEAMWORK-CENTRIC Personalities - who know what it means to put the safety and comfort of our Guests First - are those we have our sights set on! This is a part-time OR full time, hourly-compensated role.
Applicants must be available to work weekend shifts and must be willing to work on holidays if needed.
Weekend work is required for this role, as this will be the primary weekend maintenance person on-duty for the waterpark and adjoining outdoor pool.
If Full Time/Year-Round work is desired, this individual will pick up hours in doing Non-Pool maintenance duties/tasks elsewhere on the resort property grounds/facilities, or within the Condo-Hotel Operation.
Swimming Pool maintenance or CPO Designation is desired and preferred, but not required.
Prior maintenance or technical ability work experience is required.
Candidates who have not held down a job consistently will not be considered.
The chosen candidate must have a professional appearance, professional demeanor, utmost focus on safety, and be able to work well independently.
IF CPO designation (Certified Pool Operator) is not already obtained pre-hire, this will be required within 90 days of employment in this role.
Related expenses would be covered by the company.
Primary duties of this role include routine and non-routine pool maintenance tasks.
Additional miscellaneous property maintenance duties may be assigned.
The working environment for this role is generally hotter than normal (indoor and outdoor pool environment), and very humid.
This role is indoor and outdoor work during summer, and primarily indoor during winter - although still very warm and humid.
There is considerable working with mechanical equipment and pool-related chemicals.
Ability to lift 50lbs on occasion is necessary.
This role will be walking, standing, bending, stooping, using ladders on occasion and will require moving up and down stairs.
Strong level of dexterity is necessary.
